Jesus morreu por pecadores. Ele forjou uma aliança no calor ardente do seu sofrimento em nosso lugar. Ele, ao preço do próprio sangue, tomou para si uma noiva imperfeita e a cobriu com as vestes da sua própria justiça. Ele disse: “Eis que estou convosco todos os dias até a consumação do século” (Mt 28:20) e “de maneira alguma, te deixarei, nunca jamais te abandonarei” (Hb 13:5). Com o casamento, Deus pretende manifestar diante do mundo, essa realidade evangélica. Pois isso nos casamos. E por essa razão todas as pessoas casadas estão casadas, mesmo quando desconhecem esse evangelho e não o abraçam.
